To say that 2016 was the best year of my life would be an understatement. To look back and relish over all of the great things that have happened is so therapeutic. Here’s what I consider my top 10:
#10 Starting this blog
I’ve always loved to eat and travel so it’s been a dream of mine for quite awhile to start this blog. With the convincing help of a friend, I finally got it up and running. I’ve loved every minute of sharing my adventures with others and I’ve thoroughly enjoyed getting to experience other’s adventures through their blogs.
#9 Finishing a successful 3rd year of teaching, which puts me out of the “rookie” category
#8 Traveling to Boston with my husband
The weekend before our wedding, my husband and I decided to travel to Boston for a friend’s wedding. It was the perfect way to get our minds off of wedding planning and we had a lovely time celebrating our friend’s nuptials.
For a brewery idea in Boston, check out this post.
#7 Traveling to North Carolina and Georgia with my bridesmaids for my bachelorette trip
This was such a great adventure!! We had a jam-packed weekend of eating, drinking, and celebrating! See this blog post for one of the vineyards that we visited.
#6 Receiving Rookie Teacher of the Year for my school district
This was the biggest honor that I have received in my career. It’s always rewarding to see all of your hard work pay off.
#5 Being asked to be the Maid of Honor in my best gal pal, Meghan’s wedding and a Bridesmaid in my future sister-in-law’s wedding
Weddings are just so exciting! I especially can’t wait for these two in the upcoming year.
#4 Buying our first home
This was one of the most exciting, yet terrifying things I have ever done! We are so happy in our new home and love being in St. Augustine, Florida.
#3 My brother proposing to his lovely fiancee
I absolutely adore my brother’s fiancee, Jessi. I’ve actually been scheming for the past 10 years for him to date her. It finally happened and now she’s finally becoming my sister! He’s a lucky guy!!
#2 Going to Europe for our honeymoon
Italy –> France –> Spain
Does it get any better than that??
Posts from my honeymoon include:
