How my blog was created:
It wasn’t long ago that I was conversing with a close friend about my passion for cooking and traveling. I explained to her how my heart aches to see and taste the world! She suggested that I start a blog to share my interests and partake in conversation with those alike. I told her that it had been something that had crossed my mind several times but I had been afraid to start on the journey. Thankfully, she talked me into doing it and I couldn’t be more grateful for her convincing advice. Ruffles and Macarons has become such an integral part of each of my days and it’s grown into a wonderful, new passion of mine!
Advice for new bloggers:
My first piece of advice to new bloggers is to focus on quality over quantity. I have to seriously restrain myself from creating a post about each and every thing that comes out of my oven. The reason being, while those meals are good, they may not be absolutely delicious. I want to share my “recipe box recipes” – the ones that are that good, that they make it into the recipe box. The same goes for my travels. I want to make sure that I’m sharing content that will truly “wow” people if they decide to travel to that specific destination.
My second piece of advice would be to find someone that delights in your successes. Whether it be a spouse or a friend, have someone to share your milestones with – whether they be big or small. That person does not have to also be a blogger, but just someone that can rejoice with you about the things that excite you on your blog.
